One thing that I find odd, is the possibility to sell your minerals to a Vendor.
I mean, where on the ground game can you sell your harvested Minerals?
I know JTL is different than the Groundgame, but that option (also the selling of standart loot) is something I cannot see why Spacecowboys can do, while landlubbers cannot.
Not that im complaining about it, I mastered Architect and Tailor by buying resources for money earned in space
.. its defently a nice quick way to get some money.
it would be nice if something similar was introduced to the ground game.. so it would be possible for me to finnaly get rid of all those small stacks of resources I Just cant seem to use anywhere.. (I know "get a Recycler", sure.. some one please drop one on my vendor

I would guess the reason you can sell JTL resources and not ground ones is it looks like you pretty much have to be playing and at your keyboard to collect space resources, whereas ten harvesters in a good spot can net you 150K resources a day without logging in. Also, there seems to be a push to make sure space is profitable even when you have to deal with the outrageous prices us shipwrights sometimes charge; make sure people are really working for their cash, though, and not letting another game mechanic do it for them, and that opens you up to be able to sell loot and resources when no such option exists on the ground.
Though I have a worry or two about what selling space resources is going to do for the prices on ships, cybernetic limbs, etc., in general I think it's a major plus for all the pilots out there, one that lets them earn a good living while not seriously impacting other portions of the game.
Oh yeah, looks like it could be a lot of fun, too--in any event, just one more reason to look forward to RotW.

mmmmmmm.... Space Mining!
CU or not I spend all my time in space anyway, this will give me something to beside hitting the /tagertNearestEnemyPlayer button every 5 seconds.
That ship is HUGE too! Wonder how much storage it has? Lord knows I'll drag everything out of my PA hall to decorate that one.
Still a bit curious how the existing ships would look with cargo holds. It will be interesting to see Decimators, Nova's, and YT1300's converted to mining vessels too.
But that Y-8... I am so clearing space in my datapad for that bad boy!
Ground-game? What ground game? LMAO!

I would LOVE to have one of those mining vessels, but that would mean mothballing my YT. Only one POB ship at a time. I'm torn on that one...

Well, the mining ship's a Quest Reward anyway, so first you have to GET it.

Nah... looks dull and boring.
No need for the rest of you to bother with it.

I was a Jenquai Explorer back in Earth and Beyond... and I must say that surveying can be suprisingly fun, especially as an alternative to space being a "fight only" zone.
I look foreward to this greatly... heh, I can be a space trucker!

Yeah, mining actually looks pretty fun.
And I can't wait to get my hands on the Y-8. That thing is awsome.

I am in love with the view available from this ship and the whole idea of space mining.
It is sorta a snub in the Shipwrights face though, since this is a Quest obtained ship.

Yeah, but at least we'll be building the components for it.. I hope. Hmm, though if it doesn't come with some mining lasers, I'm not sure how we'd ever get the space resources in the first place. In that case, I'd hope it comes with okay mining gear, but shipwrights would be able to craft stuff enough better that it'd be worth upgrading.
That would strike me as a nice balance.
