Any help on the following question would be greatly appreciated ...

I wanted and still want to be a neutral freelancer. Which is what I succeeded in being until I reached 1222.

But now, at 2222, for some reason things seem to have changed. My pilot trainer suddenly has an RSF trainer tag, and when I get back to the Naboo space station after each mission, I am told that they are glad to see a "loyal" pilot, and keep offering me missions to save an Imperial freighter.

Any idea what is going on? Is this "normal"? Or did I perhaps accept an imperial mission or destroy a rebel ship without realising it?

And, even more important, what can I do to regain my pure neutral status?

It sounds like you signed up with with the RSF to begin with. Do you remember where your first trainer was?

If you're really concerned about going neutral, I'd consider dropping your pilot skills now and switching to CorSec, as RSF is Imperial-aligned.

You can also do smuggler's alliance if you don't mind killing imperials since some of the missions and master missions are against imperials. Other than that you can kill everything but hutts.

Hum ... I think you are right ... I must have assumed "Privateer Trainer" was automatically neutral, and simply optedfor the closest one to me

Following your advice, II went to see the CorSec trainer who has offered me missions and said "if you do well you may be invited to join the CorSecs".

Is this just "blah blah" talk, or is he serious ? Or MUST I do what you suggested, which is drop all current pilot skills?

Here's the full explanation:

RSF is neutral, its just closely tied with the Imperials, so you can't hurt them and are asked to help them. The mission you were offered is a mission to get access to the Emperor's retreat. No particular need to go there as RSF, but its a nice perk.

You are on the RSF track, but any other Neutral trainer will give out Duty missions to you. This is to give players a bit more variety when they grind. That's what you're getting from the Corsec guy.

To change, you must drop all skills and begin again. Think of them as authorizations from the organization you work for, more than a skill you learn, and it makes more sense. You have to earn their trust before they clear you for the higher grade stuff.

Final note: since you are changing from neutral to neutral, do yourself a favor and keep your Dunelizard fully equipped. Take a Prototype to do the first 4 missions then get the Dunelizard certification.

Okay, thanks for your help

It's a shame I have to drop from 2332 back down to zero again ... but hey, it was my own stupid fault ... and being a CorSec neutral will be truer to my "non-faction" status as a BH.
