I just got a Nova, and was trying to put components in. When I tried to put in my capacitor, itsaid [player_utility]:cannot_manipulate. It said the same thing when I tried to put my engine in. Does anyone know what the message means? It's not a mass problem, I just checked andthere's loads of space left.

Find those particular components in your inventory. Often that message appears because, while they are showing up in the Manage screen, they are not actually in your inventory. I believe it has been known to have items in your bank, for instance, show up in that list, but the system will not transfer a bank item to your location. If that is not it, close the screens, move the items around in inventory (to your pack and back, maybe), and try again.

It's probably stuff you've got in your yacht or any other POB ship. If you've got any parts stored in those, they'll show up on the manage screen, but you won't be able to manipulate them till they're in your inventory.
