Thread: Noob Pilot Seeks Help
Not to nitpick but your Icon is rebel
just saying.
I have to know why it seems every new imp pilot is choosing Storm Squad as there first squad? SS is not soloable except by the most experienced top gun type pilots/ship builderat any of it's tiers. SS will cut you no slack, no joke, this is the hardest squad in the game. Be great or be dead. If you can solo this squad you justifyably have every right to brag.
When I said ship builder I don't mean Ship Write, I ment being very good about choosing your ship's components.
If you are going to continue with SS you might as well get accustome to asking for help.

"Not to nitpick but your Icon is rebel just saying." Yeah, I just reactivated last week after a 10-month break and haven't updated my profile.
I'm completely new to JTL as of a few days ago, so I didn't consciously choose the hardest squadron in the game. I don't have a problem with asking for help, so I think I will stick with Storm Squadron. I want a steep challenge, even if that means asking lots of questions and getting help now and then. As it stands I am a total noob with JTL, so my knowledge of ship components, mass, etc., isn't very expansive, but I am learning a whole lot.
You is in the perfect squad then. The challange don't get any steeper than this. Got some tips that should help out.
My experience has been all the missions are soloable with patience, observation, accuracy, good equipment, the right droid programsand some creative flying.
Best bet is drop the missile launcher (i'm 4444 atm and never fire a single missile), make sure you have the lightest reactor you can get away with likewise with a booster if you have one fitted, shouldnt need anything bigger than a lvl2 booster, lvl 1 should be fine imo, basically free up as much mass as you can to fit the most powerful gun/shield you can squeeze in that you can use, and ditch the armor as well if needed, i'd sooner a shield that'll take more punishment, as if it gets thought that your armor isnt gonna keep you in one piece for very much longer anyway.
Other than that, keep moving if you start to get shot, then do your best to get on the tail of whats shooting at you, just dont blindly fly straight at your target that's a really easy way to die quickly.
