Thread: Advice Please: Can't get that Gliding feeling on second PC

Hello and thanks for your advice ahead of time.

Both of us use mice for JTL. My experience is great. When I move the mouse and engage a target, the movement is smooth and gliding...almost slow and easy to get the target in my reticle.

His, however is fast and elastic making him have tocompensate for every move causing him to fly past the target. Slight moves of the mouse send him way past the intended direction. Its very, very frustrating.

The difference in how our mice react to our movements is huge yet we've set our controls the exact same way. Does anyone have any suggestions? We've tried different mice, swapping mice, changing the windows settings as well as making our control settings identical.

Please help!

Definitely sounds like mouse sensitivity, to me. But if you've checked that, in game and out, I don't know.

What happens when he uses your computer? Wondering if it could be account related.

Do you both use the same ship and a similar engine?

I Know that especially when I was flying a longprobe, less so with my Rihkxyrk, that with my cert8 reward engine I could break and turn fast enough, but slowing down to stop the turn or go the other way took more time than was nice.
Compared to the Vaksai, or Belbullab, where you move, and you turn, there's barely any time to deccelerate from a turn - it just does it. The heavier ships can take a good second or so to actually stop turning after a manouvre.

Unfortunately it is not ship specific. It does the same thing with both the newbie ship and the y-wing.

We figured it out. His mouse drivers didn't match the mouse. WinXP installed default drivers. The manufacturer of his mouse was bought-out so we had to buy a new one. Fixed immediately!
