I just qualified for the Jedi Starfighter ( 4-3-3-3 ). Ive got OK stuff on it now, but I wasnt expecting its Mass to be as low as it is. Any suggestions on modding it out for optimal performance?

Make it FAST and LIGHT! You might want to outfit it with larger engines, shields, weapons, and a good cap to run them. Make sure your reactor is fairly good. Foresaking boosters, missiles, and lastly, if it comes to it, your armor. Good shields and good programs will help. A strat for this figher would be A. strafing, and B. getting behind the ships.

Oh yes, and I've been cramming junk into low-mass TIE's until tier 4 when I bought a Heavy TIE/IN, ~95k mass.

I use "Mark III" for most items on mine, but definitely make sure u have a top line capacitator and reactor.
I use an Ion and Disrupter linked up and I've been chewing thru armor like butter ![]()
Getting a high-end shield, Shield Shunt 4, and Capacitator Overload 4 and you can usually make do using some Tier 1 type low mass armor. Not like you're a big, slow target just begging to get shot at ![]()

90k isnt low mass but, to answer your question you want what works best for you depending on your flight style. You are the only one that can know what will work for you. To give you an idea I emphasized engines (106 76/75/75), shields (1850 f/b now but going to try and put my reward one in), and weapons (2800 max lvl6, 3000 max lvl 7). As an ex-Imp pilots 90k mass is alot to play with. I skimped a bit on armor but except when I load in a missle launcher I have plenty of room for nice equipment in the three areas I mentioned as well as resonable stuff in everything else.

lol..
90k mass is good enough especially for a ship as small as that.

Yah, really. When you consider the fact that the eta-2 has a chassis about the size of a landspeeder, 90k mass is a LOT.

I use all RE'd stuff...lv 8 engine, lv 7 shield, lv 4 cap i believe 44 recharge, 2 lv 7 guns, lv 2 booster, lv 7 DI, reactor with just enough gen to run those, No Armor, No Missle launchers, but i do take Chaff's with me, runs like a champ!

I used ionic pulse cannon's in my JSF and the effect is WOW.
also RE'd my nym relic engine and sheild work a treat almost made for the jsf
then the rest came from generic re'd components

I can vouch for this! Utah pretty much taught me to fly & helped me fix up my Eta-2. All I need to do is junk my crafted stuff & go completely RE'd. Back to Deep Space!

Im just used to using the Hutt fighters that have allow me to put just about whatever I want in them without overloading the Mass. guess I got jaded, cause I was a just suprised when my Mass overloaded around the Weapons field.
