as long as you have done the quest with that toon, and are 4xxx pilot, you are certed to fly it... all 3 pilot prof's have the certification. The key is the quest.

I'm a CorSec Pilot who's Rebel on the ground and I'm flying it.

you must get the deed yourself from vader, then become a 4333 pilot, it doesnt matter which faction but you cannot trade or sell it.

Awesome guys, thanks for the info. I was leaning really on whether I wanted to do Imperial Pilot or not, should do it to get the bonus to xp.

the deed is tradable, the other person trying to fly it cannot generate the deed unless they have already done the quest though. So unless they've managed to toast the first one they got, really no need for them to buy one. Basically if you can fly this thing, you already have the deed (or had it).
