with that new YT ship, does anyone know if it will take standard POB parts or will it have its own 'annoying/frustrating' specialist parts?

It will take any component, typically, if you can't affort Elite Components, give it a full top down fit out of Type V components and Level 10 Loots, and you won't be too disappointed.
