Thread: Where to find Decent loot

Anyone of you more experienced pilots who can give me a Hint where i can find some decent/good L8 - L10 loot?
I really enjoy space, atm thats the only thing that keeps me ingame (never been much for pvp so i have never tried it in space yet ecept one time when me and some guildies went to DS to kill the ISD, first time for me and many other to see it actually) and before it went down i was blown up by an imperial player.
So the only thing im doing now is looking for good loot to enhance my Heavy X-wing further more and also get some comps for my new SW i made

I farm a lot. Best place, at the end of the day, seems to be Deep Space. A little slower, but that'll pull in your 8-10 loot, and (might be my imagination) better quality.

Is there anything else to kill there than the ISD, i went there a quickie earlier today and all i could see there after 30 minutes flying around was the ISD

If someone just blew up the ISD, DS will reset and ships disappear. Give it a few moments without blowing the DS and you'll see flights of ships appearing from both stations. Give it a lot longer and DS will be full of targets.

There is no place from which to get guaranteed decent loot. The only way to stack the odds in your favor is to go someplace where there's a quick-regenerating spawn that drops the levels of loot you're looking for and just fill up time and time and time and time again.
I've been pulling in 500 items per night after five runs (my usual max before the wish to commit suicide sets in), and while I HAVE gotten items that I wanted, I usually get a lot of NOTHING as well.
T5s might drop the highest loot but I've found T4s are the best bet for high-level loot (friend of mine looted a 48xx max L10 from a T4 duty a week or so back), and T3s are the best for the more-usable mid-level loot (4,6,8).

I've found that the deathwatch and black sun in Endor near the Red Sin Chimaera hyper point usually drop pretty good loot and they're fast kills too. My night usually consists of hitting the black sun in a futile attempt to get the helmet (hope springs eternal), clearing out the red sin nebula of the deathwatch to warm up and get some good loot, then hitting deep space for some faction farming and more loot (and hopefully a PvP round or two). Lather, rinse, repeat.

thanks for the advice guys. And i guess i should rephrase, i understand there is no particular point where you get good loot and another point where you dont, but i guess you guys understood that i meant was a good and fast spawn

If your rebel blow some guns off the SD it forces spawns faster(any component works but hitting req'd ones lets some a$$hat the oppurtunity to blow it before you explain it hurts everyone in long run)
confession - I'll when bored and wanting a mindless yet somewhat useful task I load up Adv X and farm FP off the SD but I stop and start hitting nonessential components if someone shows up looking to loot, best I've seen was 5 waves of 3GB's/2deci's/1 each with accompanying fighters DAM that was tough and fun luckily only 2 aggressors cause to many when outnumbered 30 to 1 by T5 TIE's is nasty enough

Deep space has the best drop rate of high end loot 9/10 mostly, at least for me.
Yesterday i did 2 full (rebel duty) black sun duties and the average level of loot was 5 with more than 2/3rd'sof it waslevel 6 and under. (all t4 ships)
