your prob better off setting up a time with a server ace and IF your imperial it should be a cake walk target gun 5 /bstrike2 clean up fighters and just cruise around vette blowing everything
k, im going to try again
Be online in 20 min
send me a /tell ig if you want to help.
My main disadvantage is that Im privateer, or I would use bomberstrike. So im going to need some imps to help out with that part, and anyone else to help with the rest.
Thx in advance![]()
Heh, don't feel bad, it took me a few weeks of trying to get it done. The more I help others though, the more I learn. Just did it tonight duo'ed with a friend, more practice and I might get up to soloable status.
Only problem was that it wouldn't spawn at first so we had to go hunt down the circling gunboats at the end. ![]()
Imperial Corvette is a bit tougher than the Rebel version IMO for one reason: Tie Aggressors.
You can pretty much write off the rebel fighter escort before they engage you. Only troublesome ships there are the A-Wings...But going against Imperial fighters can be a little more tricky. It really comes down to knowing your limitations and working with them.
If you're actually having trouble with the Corvette though, and not the gunboats or fighter screen, I'd suggest you track down a picture of a corvette and where all of the components are, and where to attack them from.
The secret to taking down gunboats and corvettes is your Angle of Attack. For most of PvE, you can disregard AoA, which makes the gunboats and corvette that much more difficult when you have to adapt to make Ace.
Learn how to maneuver around a ship first, then you will be able to come from the right direction to take out the corvette easily.
After you take out the 5th weapon mount from underneath, the rest is just mopping up.
If its dealing with the fighters and gunboats though...heres my tip for freelancers.
The part where I get hit the mostfor me is trying to lure the fighters away from the corvette. Since as a neutral they do not automatically aggro you, this makes it a bit more difficult. If you get in ranger for blasters, unless you have a very fast engine, by the time you turn around and are running away, you'll already be taking some heat.
So, heres my advice: Get any type of missle launcher. Cheaper the better. Launch a single missle at a fighter from maximum range. As soon as the missle is away, turn around and back off. The missle should hit and you will have fighter aggro. Now you are free to deal with the fighters separately before dealing with the bigger ships.
Not that you HAVE to do it solo...heh
