I'm currently on a mission based from Yavin 4 in which I must do a series of missions in the space above Endor. The first is escorting an engineer transport, which is no trouble. I finish that and immediately get another mission is which I must re-capture and escort a different transport. No prob. After that one is done, I immediately get another mission to inspect a rebel recon craft, an A-wing. Simple, diable and dock with it. Then comes the next mission, escorting a freighter. I fly to this mission, and there are always swarms of Tier 4 ships, ready to tear me apart. They aren't even my target. The ships that attack the freighter are Tier 3 ships. But by the time they come, I usually have around 10 ships swarming me, 7 of them being tier 4. I get ripped apart before I'm 5 minutes into this escort mission. When I lose the mission however, I have to re-do them ALL. I have to re-do them all (which takes a good hour) even though my quest journal says they are completed. The other problem is that doing this mission so many times has let me cap out my exp. My commander won't give me the option for training (probably until I finish this never ending mission). I need to get my training so I can use a TIE interceptor or higher level components or anything. So I want to know, is there any way to transfer from storm squadron to another IMP pilot squad and keep all my exp? Or is this some kind of glitch and I'll never be able to level up without surrendering all my pilot skills?
Thanks for your help.

if you can find an ace to help you, then that never ending mission has an end. i'v helped many people through tear 3 missions. ether you can drop SS and start over with a different squadron or find some people to help you out. tear 3 is no walk in the park

I just hyperjumped to D-435, repaired, and then flew back. The freighter has enough shields to outlast the onslaught (actually it jumped to hyper before i got back). You can hyperjump in the same system and not lose your mission. I have even set up a macro for jumping and repairing.

Im sure by now you have figured it out , but make absolutly sure you go to the low danger areas when doing your missions. If that doesnt work , get help. Just find a couple guys hanging around yavin, ppl arealways there.

Thanks guys. So is D-435 the best place to jump to? Is it close enough to the station?
