Once you get enough xp you will be able to train again.

Once you reach 1111 you may be given a new trainer and missions.

The "shoot things for the hell of it" missions are called duty missions. It's an option the trainer will give you when you don't have enough experience to train the next level. You can either take the missions or find a nice pirate or imperial spawn and shoot things on your own if you wish. Your call. . .

I don't think you can sell the flight computer once you initialized it... I think you can trade it, but that's all. To be honest, I never used a flight com/astromech prior to 2/2/2/2 as it just wasn't necessary. Some people do... I just didn't. That's also why DE's don't stock them... you have to create an entire droid, which is about 8 subcomponents in some cases, and it's cost prohibitive to the buyers.

Hang in there... the space missions get better...

ouch, buy a heavy Z and load it up with whatever you can find in loot. Until you get to 2222 that is all you will need.

Upgrade your guns, engine, and shield as soon as you can every tier. The level 2-3 armor and capacitor you add now will probably be fine for a couple tiers, but definately upgrade your main components. A good set of Mark II crafted equipment will make you much more effective. Some loot is better, but usually you have to RE loot for it to be really better than a similar crafted item.
