ok was checking out how many weapons each TIE can hold. as i am starting SS and wanted to figure out what ships to use. i have 2 questions here they are, why cant the TIE interceptor have 2 guns? i mean it has 4 points from which lasers emit so you would think they could split iit, i mean the x-wing gets 3. heres the other the TIE oppressor has two laswer points and 3 missile points, so what is it, a heavy fighter like the b-wing or a bomber?

Good question.

I use mine both ways, just outfit it differently according to the mission at hand. If I am going for spawns and am going to shooting down ships for a long period while looking for loots I fit a super-fast Mk V engine and just the two lasers. If I have to deal with a corvette or something like that I fit a Mk IV engine which is slower, but lighter, and allows room for some missile launchers.
