I've been wondering about this for a while... keep in mind I've been playing SWG since just after it came out, and I was in the beta for JTL (near the end for one huge reason I don't feel like going into)

How many pilots here actually use pilot commands?

I think I can count the times I have on one hand, either to request a repair ship in the middle of nowhere, or IFF scramble to try and make a break from an overly hairy situation. I've been playing Star Wars combatsims since the original DOS X-wing, and I played online in XvT for years. I miss being able to fly a basic TIE-Fighter against a fully loaded A-wing or TIE-Advanced and come out victorious.

I haven't done much PvP since I've been trying to help my guildies out on faction missions and grinidng xp, so I can't speak from personal experiance here, but don't pilot commands detract from the skill factor of the game? or, do you all think they just add another element of strategy?

Master Pilots, Novice Pilots, whatever, I'd like to hear some good opinions.
