I'm checking that out now actually.

The Claw station in Endor won't sendme to deep space even though I am overt imperial in space.

Last Nav Point in the Dath system won't even talk to me as overt imperial.

Nope, no way into deep space as overt imperial flying as neutral pilot.

You can't get fp in deep space as a freelancer.

But going overt and heading to kessel works in a pinch.

I'm imperial on the ground, and SA-freelance pilot.

I can go to deepspace as an imperial overt, but only by not declaring at an imperial station, and going to my freelance deep-space station in dath space. When you go to deep space as a freelancer, it asks you to choose a side as you enter. Since I'm imperial on the ground, it's either imperial, or don't go. I haven't tested it, but supposedly your ship gets "stuck" overt if you do this, until you re-deed it. I'm not sure if you can grind FP this way though.

For overt in all other sectors, I declare at an imp station as normal. FP grinding works fine this way.

Nope, you don't get FP when you go to deep space at the Last Nav Point even though you choose imperial or rebel.
