First time i did this mission (the one after you train your first Tier4 boxes?) was impossible for me!

This is back in the first week of JTL being live by the way. We knew nothing about the drpoid programs or getting the coolest equipment, cause even those of us who betaed where stumped when it went live quite different in some areas.

Anyway i did this mission - finally - with about 8-10 guys with me and a POB coming to our help all guns blazing as we fought the second squadron!

Was one of the MOST Star Warsy experiences I ever had in SWG, JTL or otherwise!

find someone to help you...i have always found this is the best way...however i'm in a different sqaudron but i had a similar mission and i ended up doing it by myself (had done it 10 time prior without success) but igot all new comps for my x-wingand did it with just a little damage to my rear armor...plus now i have an extra 15k mass to work with YEEHAAWW Kill those Ties lol!

this is the mission i'm on at the moment. i haven't completed it yet because i haven't had time but i was able to take out 17 i think before i had to log off. i used a heavy Z-95 with a 101 speed engine and the level 8 gun from the kashyyyk space station quests. the engine (with engine overload 3) lets me stay at my top speed of 1250 and cap to shield shunt 3 is more then capable of restoring any shield damage i took. the high speed makes it nearly impossible for the ties to stay on you long enough to get more then a shot or two off so as long as you keep moving (don't fly straight) and hit your cap to shield shunt regularly it should only take a little time to complete the 30 kills.

this might not work out the same for you but it suits my play style. if you can't get help on your server it might be worth a try

Dont listen to him! Get a full squadron of Xwings and Ywings! Only use rebel shield programs - NO OTHERS, turn the sound up, set music to high compared to sounds! Fight the mission, then remember until the day you die the closest you have ever got to being in a star wars film!

The guys I flew with on this are still my friends (months later) and a couple of them pressganged me into their guild! After a year and a half of being independent! I guess they saw something in my pilot skills back then - Hey Yanus it payed off getting me in didnt it! (I still think Top Gun is a good guild title, but ill live with Strike Force Commander !)
