Same tips apply to all the Tier 3 missions.

Have you upgraded your equipment? Are you using the appropriate droid commands (WO3, EO3 et al)?

Tier 3 is soloable, especially Rebel/Privateer, but it has been said that those missions were designed for groups. Grab a few helpful pilots, maybe even just one, and you should be fine.

I soloed this last night, but I fitted out a Dunelizard with great equipment in a previous Mastery. I was wondering about the friendlies, but didn't worry about it ... maybe see if you can get the hostiles to aggro them first.

I soloed this just yesterday, here are some tips.

1- upgrade your equipment! I can not stress how important it is to have good shields/engine/guns.

2-If you stay in range of the light freighter you will die.

My strategy was to start way out 1.2km or so, and fly at the light freighter at full speed shooting. Fly right past it, as soon as your not hitting it, hit your boosters and keep flying until you are out of range. If you are lucky enough to have any of the fighters following, kill them. Repeat this "fly past while shooting" a few times and it will drop.

If the freighter hits your armour on your entrance or exit pass without fighter help, then you need better equipment. Check your vendors.

I did this "Cadamo Sun" mission like 15 times before I completed it. It gave me an incentive to upgrade my equipment, like the others said, but the real trick for me was HYPERSPACE.

Set up about 1000 meters from the ball of ships andsetyour hyperspace countdown(select the third area, I believe -- it's only about 1500 meters away). Go in blasting the freighter with blasters and missles when the hyperspacecalculations aregetting around 50-75%. The goal is to get in a few nice shots, hyperspace, than return to repeat the process. As longas yourequipment is good enough that your shields are regenerating faster than the YT's, than this should work. Worked for me the first timeafter all those other attempts trying different tactics.

I have tried multiple times to complete the tier 3 escort mission for RSF privateer pilot. It is the mission where u escort the yt-1300 thru multiple waves of attacks. The last part of the mission where you hyperspace to corelia is giving me problems. Once in corelia you have a support squad of i think 3 other ships, these ships dont engage the enemy, and as a result I die in less than aminute. I think there is an enemy yt-1300 that kills my shields in just a couple of hits. I tried flying around the support ships hoping they would engage, but it didnt work. Any tips/strategies for completing this level would be greatly appreciated. Also, can this be soloed or do I need to bring multiple friends (if so how many).

If you need to just wait on your shields to regen, you're in trouble ... use droid programs, CtSS here (and WCO certainly doesn't hurt).

I just fired straight towards the YT when it came into range. Got two shots off on me.
