having problems doing a rebel quest to dock with a imp ship.... it constantly refuses my attemps, wondering if anyone could tell me what needs done ?

If a ship denies you, you're in most cases supposed to disable it.

Use [ or ] to target it's engines or reactor, then shoot in the green aimer and a message will apear when you've destroyed one of it's components and succesfully disabled the craft. Once it's disabled, you move in close and dock with it like you normally would.

ack.... k the [ or ] ? I am afraid I dont understand that

And this is the first time I have tried to dock with another ship. Once I think I disabled it by shooting at it and tried again to dock with it but it still denied me.

Thinking about it can ships dock while in motion?

the brackets, if you're on an american lay-out keyboard. It's to the right of P

ohh! You use the brackets to target ship components

I will try that thankyou..... (yes, I didnt know )

yesss! thankyou I made the docking sequence finally..... but one thing I didnt see any information changes as to how the targeting differed whrn using the bracket keys

Oh you see what you have targeted above the target display.

If you target their engines for example it looks like this:

RSF Rawl
Engine : 100%

Shield : 100%
Armor : 100%
Systems : 100%
Chassis : 100%

Or if you target the reactor, it looks like this:

RSF Rawl
Reactor : 100%

Shield : 100%
Armor : 100%
Systems : 100%
Chassis : 100%

I use the Windu Purple interface though, so it's Yellow on mine
