Hello, I just mastered pilot and I want to go into DS to build some ground faction and I thought there could be some pilots around who know the best areas to do so in this area.

I don't have a mediocre setup yet but I think I have some problems that could seem familiar to you. For example, I jump to DS and start looking for b-y-x wings around by just pushing throttle and nothing else, when I find one, I go for it, but there are usually tons of gunboats around him that start hitting me when Im in the middle of the battle. If not, I get jumped by groups of 4 A wings wich are so damn hard to kill. Usually, I disable them all but then I notice that there are adding ships all the time that wont let me finish any disabled one and end b eing killed. My question is. Is there any waypoint that you could share, or near rebel station or something? Any tips welcome please

If you're having problems in DS, might want to consider going overt and then hitting Kessel. Slower spawn rates, not so many captial ships

And remember to spam the Z key, it may not be NPC ships that are taking you out so fast...

Deep space is designet for the best ships in the game. Only the fastest or the heaviest shielded ships survive there for extended periods of time (maybe a bit exaggerated, but you get my point). My advice to you is to upgrade your ship with the best equipment you can find. It may be a bit expensive, but it pays off in the long run, and it's a lot cheaper than paying a smuggler to buy you faction points. And, it gives you a chance in PvP

Jedi are seriously underpowered. They need a snare, invisibility, a ranged nuclear attack and a flying mount that farts fire

I think one of the key things - for me at least - was having a ship that could dodge weapons fire easily. I don't use roll, just circle the mouse, or weave in a figure eight. If you have one ship on your tail, you can dodge left, pause, dodge right pause..and still have time to shoot at something dead ahead without getting hit.

I have only fought the imps, and they like to send interceptors a lot, generally a wing of several groups of three. When you see fire coming across your nose, if you see triple shots, its usually a group, or a few groups, and you just have to circle them and get behind.

Deep space is a good place to practice because there is no decay, so I recommend it over kessel. I just wish I could go there overt...but I still can't because us privateers are bugged.

Okay, guys, thanks for the replys

I finally went past this issue, and the solution for me was to get the opressor and bring the heaviest/better pieces I could fin in my garage. I know its not the most efficient way but as I had 170k instead of 90k msas (from the Grevious ship) I decided to fit big things, and now im real happy with the ressults. Added to that a weap capacitator overcharger and 2 good high dmg guns. Now I dont run out of energy and my ship absorbs tons of damage before getting me in danger. Could even start soloing two gunboats and one corvette with some friend's tips

Its so fun now to go out there, see you all in the space
