I'm on the third tier 3 mission for Black Epsilon and I have to kill a rebel emissiary(gunboat). GOD this thing has perfect aim you can't out manuever it and it drops my 1800 hp shields in 3-4 hits. I have tried hit and run, flying in circles...everything and can't beat it. I have also tried taking out its guns...but I usually die before I get it's shields down. Not to mention the 6 tier 3 escort fighters. Guess I am gonna have to get an ace to help out.

Rebel gunboats have a HUGE blindspot. Just go underneath them. They pretty much can't hit you from anywhere under them. Target the engines to keep it from moving, and blow it to bits. Cap to Shield Shunt will help a lot, too.
