Thread: Target enemy player macro?
Kirkmeister wrote:
Does anyone know of a macro that targets the nearest eney player? I know Z works well, but hey, I'm lazy, and want to fly about and be able to do other stuff instead of spamming Z all the time. I have a /who, which sort of helps for those people whoe aren't /anon, but a Target Closest Enemy Player would hep a great deal. I have tried the keymap commands to no availe. Anyone got a suggestion or advice?

Heh, If you find a way to do this you will be given the title "The Man" for at least a week here on the pilot boards.
Logically speaking, which is laughable as logic and SWG don't normally appear in the same sentence, there is a command somehwere, as the hotkey Z does this. It's just figuring out what the command is. I have tried /Target Closest Enemy Player, /ui action TargetClosest Enemy Player. And a few more. I'm thinking of maybe asking CSR (hahah) if they can tell me what the command is, as I'm starting to get blisters on my left index finger ![]()
If I can just figure it, then I can run a /who and /target enemy player Macro, then I'd be able to rest knowing that if an Imp tries to creep up, he's gonna die ![]()
hehehe
I might let you know m8, seeing as you back me up on my POB adventures
So this is the pilots Holy Grail? looks like I have a challenge.

If its all the same, if you do find it, bury that information deep and keep it as your own private edge, please.
Why? It's actually something that a 'droid would be able to do. Give a "heads up" to the pilot when certain threats enter the area. Seems odd that the people that talk about wanting space PvP only seem to want to sneak up on and blast a faction farmerbefore he knows they are there. Seems like this command would promote actual space PvPing. I get no satisfaction from blowing away a guy that doesn't even know Im there.

Droid commands have eliminatedthe need to aim better and conserve your shots
Heavy variants have made the mass game negligible
A nearest enemy player /command that could be put in a macro would eliminate the need for spatial awareness.
Just how easy do you want this game to be?
The first points I concur, the last I do not.
"Spatial Awareness" is the sense of where things are around you. No command can give you that.A /command would eliminate the need to mash a button every so many seconds, that's all.
I would think people would welcome this command to make it more likely for them to be able to fly against a thinking pilot.
Short answer, Target enemy player macro? Ain't none.
