I can't find the answer to this in the FAQ, so as its a very quick question, I'm asking here :
What type of countermeasure do you recommend? Chaff? Microchaff? Other?
Thank you

I use chaff, since it's cheap, light and farily reliable. It wont work every time, but since I have a ship that can soak up the damage of a spacebomb if needed, a failed chaff won't hurt that much. But it allways seem to fail when shields are out...

Whatever you can fit in is my advice, with a bit of squeezing I have a sensor decoy in my Xwing and all my other ships carry a chaff launcher. Just dont think of it as a priority, especially if you concentrate mainly on PvE.

I happen to use Sensor Decoys, they are reasonably efficient since my launcher works
. I use them against IR2 missiles in PVP. Dont forget to use 1 decoy per missile at least if possible.

or if you are facing an oppressor, hold the button down until missile warning goes away.

Glad this has come up actually. I'm currently using micro-chaff, and I tend to survive 2-3 missiles before being disabled. I use this as it's what fits me best at 5k mass. I have some heavy stuff for my Nova, but I am unsure as to what is the most effective against IR's as this is what I tend to face mostly.

It might be a safe choice, but also dangerous if the threats are continuous as it can drain the ammo quite fast.

TeamSpeak last night: "There's an Oppressor! Kill it, fast!"
