Thread: How do u target the engines?

I'm involved in a quest where i think i need to disable the engines and then dock with it...how do u target the engines of a ship?

use the [ ] keys to cycle through components. Think engines is ] on the target.

Also, if you're targetting a ship with turrets or shields you can hit, it changes then too. Order is Reactor, Engine, Shield, Secondary Shield, Weapon mounts... and I'm not sure where the Bridge is in all that, since I never hit the Reactor on a Vette without taking out all the guns.

The best answer is to read your quest journal (Press J in space). It will tell you this, along with any other specifics you need for a mission. That'll save ya lots of posting.
