Just started SWG and going for Rebel pilot.

Second mission last night was to patrol and shoot down 4 TIE's.

Went to first waypoint - 4 TIE's. Gonna be easy this one....

Cue neverending stream of the sods. Soon as I dispatched one lot another jumped me.

Constantly 3 or 4 swarming at me without pause.

Don't know how many I got in the end but it was a lot more than the 4 I needed....

Still had targets up when I finally had to run for home just to give my self a break.

Is it usually this crowded/chaotic on missions, or did I run into the annual TIE fighters convention?

Was fun though, and good practice.

Interesting...

I was running a tier 4 mission with some guildie's helping me. We got the mission started ok, but had to to do a deliver from Dathomir to Yavin. So I set my ship to hyper to Yavin and as the hyper counter got to 75% we were attacked byt 7-8 Imp fighers as part of the mission. Wasn't a problem, but I was already hypering so when I got to Yavin the ships respawned and continued to do so. We finally had to disable the ships so I could fly to the waypoint which was 9k meters away. Once I made the delivery they stopped spawning. We got good XP (the non-masters anyway) and parts, but it made the mission 3 times as long.

Not sure why these kinds of things happen though.

A few of the newbe missions in diffrent Squads are like this... I think you need 4 and it spawns several at multiple WPs, after that you can bring it home watch your screen for a mission complete message and listen for happy music.

This may also have been a duty or open ended mission... these are your friends you decide when you are done by going into the data pad right clicking on the mission and choosing end duty, these are a great way to grind out skill boxes, on tier 1, 2 and 4 that is.

Play the game or don't it is what it is and will never be what it was for better or worse. I intend to play the game as long as it is fun, that does not make me a fan boy of brown noser. I know the game has it's flaws, but it serves no purpose to dwell in the past.
