this mission is second only to lord cyssc. your going to need a very well equiped T/A or better yet JSF.

you want to bomber strike a gunboat and then pull the rest away to joust. i dont remember it perfectly but is this the one with a single teir4 gunboat, a couple novas, and a ton of missile carrying fighters? bring chaff.

no real difference ... jsf has a smaller hitbox other than that they are the same

Just finished this mission two days ago, and I feel your pain. What I did, is come in real slow on the big group of rebs and let the Imperial NPC squadron engage them first. I then attacked fighters on the outskirts trying to avoid the Nova's. Truthfully, the Novas completely ignored me until I fired on one of them.

I took out all the escort fighters, again not destroying, but disabling their engines and leaving them hanging. Then jousted the Novas. Went out to about 1000m and full speed towards them, firing like mad at the nose and letting a torpedo go once I had a lock. I would then zoom out another 1000 and repeat until they were destroyed.

Again use the droid commands, I am sure you are but just stating the obvious. If I started to really get hammered by the Nova on a particular head on pass, I would pull off early and boost out, making sure I hit SStC4 first. That droid command basically let me finish it. Good luck mate!

teh GSF is a good ship, but if you are dying in one pass you are taking alot of hits. now that i think about it the RGI would be your best bet, in fact it would make the mission all too easy.

hiya well ive soloed the storm squad up to the last lvl 4 mission which im finding kinda imposibal
you have to destroy 2 captured vessels easy then a long but also easy escort for a ship that you have to recapture the part after this is what im having problems with ..
you get sent after a rebal comand wing this has 11 vessels in total i think 2 are gunships and one is a nova the rest are a mix of reb ships the problem is they seem to all decide to fire everything they have at me at once and i litteraly get blown appart in under 2 seconds [very anoying after an hour of escort etc]
ive tryed sending in a bomber strike this takes a little heat off me [when it works] but not nearly enouth ive also tryed burst in attack burst out but again the ships dismantle me in a few seconds even with sheild shunt 4
im determined to do this solo but am running out of ideas please post the tactics you used to defeat this mission
thanks
soho

if you talk to the grand admiral at theed palace, id bet he will give you the kessel missions regardless of if you complete the tier4 exit.

Try jousting the fighters, but don't go straight through them. Disable one, take off in another direction and get out of range, and don't come INTO range of the gunships! You should whittle them down fairly quickly doing this, and in the meantime, that BStrike you called is doing a number on a gunboat (well, maybe anyway, and it's just a guess). The only problem with this is you're racing the clock...

I agro'ed the fighters and pulled them away from the others and took them out.. then the nova I jousted it trying to avoid the gunboat as much as possible... then joust the gunboat and used speed to stay relativly under it
