Anyone else notice that the 'backup' you get for the last 2 missions are worthless? To get them to do ANYTHING i had to sit in the middles of them and let the gunboats and fighters shoot at me, and hope they actually hit one or two of em to get them to even move. So far this is the only squadron i've seen where this happens.

yeah... when I did RSF they just sat there. They didn't even engage. I didn't really need the help but it was a bit annoying.

Stuff like that has happened in practically every squad I've done so far. I know it happened at the end of Storm and during Havoc.

It's not that i really needed em, but it helps to have them distract the 2 GB's at the end of the last mission. Can't refuse free cannon fodder.

I can' remember thos 2, but I wouldn't doubt it. It's not like they are NEEDED, but theywould help take some of the heat.

Also, those ships are there for a reason--because the missions were judged to be hard, particularly for inexperienced pilots who, to that point, may not have run into anything so challenging and could use a little NPC assistance. I knew a lot of pilots who had trouble completing that RSF mission (among others) because their so-called allies were just sitting there twiddling their.. er, control panels.

It should be a known issue, but I'll get a writeup on this (hm, and probably a few other mission-specific bugs) in to the devs soon. Never hurts to remind em.
