I know there's a bug and I've seen people say go to the stickies and such... so I did. The best infoI've been able to get from this bug is there's something wrong with the reactor drain, or something like that. I think this bug has been around so long, that people just say it's a bug and accept it. What I don't understand is if what I've read is correct (there's no additional reactor drain), why would anyone want it fixed so bad? I would think people would just let it go, which is why I'm asking for clarification as to if I've understood the bug correctly.

We want it fixed because it diminishes the purpose of heavy fighters in PvP by making most of their firepower excess firepower that is of no use. It also makes PvE way too easy, plus it gets rid of any strategy in choosing what droid programs to run, since it allows everyone to just run the same combo with a tiny reactor. It also allows players to just lay on the trigger the whole time, and not have to worry about their capacitor running out, which adds more luck and less skill to combat. We also want it fixed before any of the ships are rebalanced, otherwise the balance is going to be thrown out of wack again when its fixed.

Why WO3 is broken, by Jonas Blackmore:
WO3 is broken because instead of increasing reactor drain and energy per shot, it lowers it. This causes WO3 to be massively broken as it increases damage, lowers reactor drain and lowers energy per shot of all your equipped weapon. As all other levels of WO increase reactor drain and energy per shot appropriately, it becomes readily apparent that WO3 is, indeed, broken.

WOW!
I didn't realize it did the inverse affect. That makes a heck of a lot more sense why it needs to be fixed. I really wish we had access to our Reactor Status in spacewhile our droid programs were active. This would really help now and more importantly, after they fix this bug.
THANK YOU BOTH FOR LACK OF FIRE!!!

Of course, for those of us who've been planning for a fix for nearly a year now...
...fixing WO3 will merely be an inconvenience for us - we'll just have to carry larger reactors and beefier caps.

where is the soon to come fix going to hit hardest?
ships without the mass to compensate by loading large reactors and capacitors. IE rotw ships.
i personally cannot wait for the fix, and hope we see it sooner, rather than later.

Something tells me that if they ever decided to fix WO3, then it'll run hand in hand with the "buffing of past ships."

Actually, most of the Imperial ships will be fine as they are single weapon / single missile ships. WO doesn't have as huge of an affect. The Bomber and Oppressor will be the hardest hit, due to having numerous weapon hardpoints and WO affects blasters and missiles. The majority of my Imperial ships run with less then 9000 power out of 12500 provided by lvl 1 crafted reactors. From the calculations I've done, those payloads could have WO3 fixed mid-flight with no problem.

WO3 is by in large the most important thing that need to be looked into as it affect ALL ships across the board.

The fix will definitely change how I craft my weapons and capacitors. Everyone's effectiveness willgo down. Furthermore, it's been this way so long, I'd believethe average flierwill have difficulties adapting, which in turn, could reduce space traffic even more than what it already is.
