What is the bonus if I am just changing squadron, and not squadron and faction??

Example RSF to Smuggler pilot?! or Imperial Black Epsilon to StormSquadron??

Wow, I never knew this. 2x XP if you shoot for a second squad in your faction, eh?

So, do the three squads really differ all that much from each other?
