how would you guys outfit one? i don't intend to use it for more than a loot farmer but i was just wondering for when it's unbugged so i can PVP in it.

level6 engine, top stats.

level 10 gun top stats

level 2 capacitor

level 6 shield

level 7 reactor top stats

kayl is right, a wo3 fix needs to be taken into consideration.

QID, 22k mass, speed over 100.0.
L1 reactor (Loot or crafted, only difference would be around 5-600 units of mass)
L9 weapon around 35k or preferably lower
2.5-3k L4 reward booster RE (2.75 for an average)
L2 cap with ~1-1.5k mass and 40ish regen with at least about 1050 pool (1.25 for an average)
15k-ish 2-2.4k F/B Protectonet (we're at ~77250 at this point, if you'd done well, it should be lower).
Given the variations in mass, I'd try to get an L5/6 armor plate up front with at least 1.2k extra in hp, and then put some POS L1 RE tossaway in the back to not have a "50%" rating in armor so every **edit** knows "HEY, HE DOESN'T HAVE REAR ARMOR!"

Also, don't expect such a config to be especially WO3-fix-friendly.

Man, give up on the LvL4 booster. Get a 10second crafted booster with 27-30 speed. I make those all the time. It will be under 1k mass.


forget the LvL7 reactor, way to heavy. Look for a LvL2 or 3 that has the energy you need and RE with one that has low mass. (I personnally use a LvL3 Reactor with 2.7k mass and 14.3 energy).


LvL6 or LvL8 RE'ed engine.I would look for a LvL8 with 23k mass or less.


LvL2 cap


LvL 5 Armor 5.5k mass and 1100 armor (I craft these all the time). You can also find LvL5/6 looted armor that can beat that crafted.


LvL7 Crafted shield (about 12rc, 1800 f/b, 17kmass) or a nice RE'ed StarMap ProtectoNet shield that has better stats than the crafted I mentioned. Again, I can make those crafted shields standing on my head.


The the biggests gun you can find. LvL 9 or 10 if you can RE one down to a low enough mass.


If you can't find a low mass, high speed droid (PreNerf type) look for a 15speed 6.5k mass Crafted DI.


Figure mass around this:


3000 Reactor


23000 Engine


2000 Capacitor


17000 Shield


11000 Armor


1000 Booster


6500 DI


This leaves around 30K Mass to play with for a Weapon, Missile Launcher, and Chaff.

The L4 boosters are God - a pox on your damned crafted ones!

You might get 8-10 seconds out of yours, I get DOUBLE the time out of mine, and with the closing speed that going to be afforded to me with an EO4ed 108.4 speed QID PLUS a 27 speed (26.986 from 26.2 pre-RE in actuality), I'll be up your ass before you get to a countdown.

I'm not calling it my "Interceptor" configuration for nothin'.

yeah crafted boosters are a joke compared to the reward. only use i can see for the lot of them is specific high acceleration ones for someone wanting to compensate for a ships low acceleration speed for PVP.


and a level three reactor, (assuming reactor overload) is a nice idea, except what happens when wo3 is fixed? *maybe* i've RE'd my parts so well that i would come in under 27k ish drain using EO4, WO3, CO4, RO4 but i'm still putting up with the hassle of using RO4, which can be a pain in the ass if you are constantly going in and out of Deep Space (for whatever reason).


it's also 1 too many programs for getting back to DS to fight, currently I can hit EO4 when i load after dying, hit WO4 (or CO4) when i load into DS and I am good to go, with any droid interface. with a single 5k dmg gun on your ship, that little difference can be the kill shot, whereas the 6k mass saved by using a lighter reactor probably is not going to save you in the IGI.
