Thread: Fire current group and weapons with different speed

I have my fire button currently setup to fire current group instead of fire and cycle to next group. The reason is when I do mining I only want to fire the mining laser and not my blaster at same time.
However I come to think about one thing. What happens when you have weapons with different speed? Will I then fire both weapons and have to wait until the slowest weapon has refired or will it fire one weapon and then wait for the next fire cycle until the next weapon is fired (then firing both weapons)? Or something else?
That might limit how useful it is to use fire current group (might want to reassing fire button instead when I do normal combat or mining).
Is there a fire and recyle weapon in current group? That would solve the problem.

I use fire current group. I have on rather quick gun and one hard hitter that is significantly slower in the same group. IfI hold down the trigger they will both continue to fire at their own rate which means I get about 1.75 shots out of the faster gun to 1 for the heavier one.
my firing sequence would look something like this:
