Ok, silly question here as it is probably covered somewhere else. But her I go. I am a Freelance pilot with RSF. I want to change to Smuggler's Alliance. Do I have to completly drop all my skill boxes and do Freelance over again?

Thx Zade! See, stay with RSF... it will make it n easier time of getting master... RSF is also good because it gives you the Blacksun duty missions...

If you want to go Freelance Pilot on Bestine, you have to do Jabba's Theme Park, because Beissa is in the Palace. You need to do 6/7ths of Jabba's TP to even get to see her. If you'r a newb with no help, or fighting skills fuggidaboutit.

Yes. I stand corrected. I thought there was only one freelance trainer starting npc On Tatooine.

Well, when I first chose RSF, I did not realize they would be IMP aligned. When doing tier 1, I was aboe to shoot at IMP ships, but when i finished tier 1, I cold no longer shoot them. I am now 4/3/3/3, so I think I will master what I have done, then maybe change it and do SA.

But I think it is stupid to have to redo Freelance over again, it is not like I am changing ships. They are all the same. Who cares who you are working for.

Let's correct you further. You do not have to do the Theme Park to get inside to see your trainer. If you are very attentive, you will be offered a mission from the Tatooine space station after one of your tier2 missions. If you complete the mission you are rewarded with a blank pass into Jabba's throne room, that you can add your name to and give to the NPC at the door.

You don't need ground combat skills, you don't need to do the TP, you just need to watch for the different choice after you finish the Tier2 freighter escort and go to Tat station to land. It is a known bug that the mission should be offered more than this single time, but more people need to put some pressure on and get it fixed.

Ya I went same route, and am a Rebel Colonel. Not killing TIEs just would not due. So after a really mad day I ended up switching to Smuggler Alliance after almost hitting tier 4. The second time around is much easier FYI. If you have a buddy who is a master have them help you get to tier 3 quick in the gunner seat. You can hit Tier 3 in a solid few hour session with a friend.

If you master first then switch you will get xp-X2 for the second one you master. that wil help too

I later got lucky and was happy to do it twice after they changed the reward engine top speed, I ended up with 2of the pre-change engines
