you can end the duties at any time... go to the data pad and hit end duty and your mission willbe succesful. it's all to gain xp.

Alternatively you can hyperspace out of the system or land at a space station to end the duty missions as well.

Also, destroy duties do have an end. If you can chew through five sets (one set = two or more spawns with three waves per spawn at your tier, plus one spawn of your tier +1) of enemies, the destroy duty will end and you'll get a cash bonus for completing the mission. I suspect that escort duties might have a similar end at some point, but have never had the patience to fly eight hours worth of escort to find out.

I am on T2 as well and I have a small problem that I am hoping someone can answer for me. I have aquired my first box, and done a cpl of missions for the inquisitor(s). I get my second box filled, go to train and the inquisitor gives me another mission. I can't get him to train me first. Is there another trainer I can utilize? Do I have to only use the inquisitor as a trainer while on T2? I can not disable a shuttle with the TIE Light that is upgradable. Do not get me wrong I have it pretty well maxed out in pwr, mass, weapons, shields that it can hold. But that shuttle just tears me a new one as I attempt to disable it to escort the colonel.

Suggestions?

Ok first thing use droid commands, they will come in handy (ex: weapon overload). Second of all target the shuttles rear weapon, sorry I dont remember what numberit is, and get that first. Do strafing runs and get a Cap to shield shunt program from a freelance pilot to recharge your shields. Once you get the rear wepon, target the engines and disable it. Please note that you will have to drop the shields and armor to 50% befor any component damage will take place. If all else fails get a friend to help you.

you have to do missions until they tell you they will train you.

for tier 3, you do a mission, you get a box, xp is meaningless.

tier 4, grind xp, get trained, get a mission. rinse, repeat, end with a vette blowing up.

D3vi4nt1, if I recall correctly, what you're describing is the normal behavior for Tier 2. (Note that I did Inquisition Tier 2 a couple of months ago, so my memory may be a little fuzzy.) If memory serves, the normal progression for Tier 2 (and Tier 4) is that you do duty missions until you get enough experience to train, then you go back to the trainer and get a story mission. Complete the story mission and you get to train. So if I'm reading that part of your post right, then what you're seeing is normal. You'll have to complete the mission to progress.

As for suggestions for how to take out the Lambda, here are a few suggestions:
1. Try to attack from the underside. The Lambdas have a blind spot in their underside. Attack from below, and if the Lamb starts to turn on you, break off and re-engage once you have an underside shot again.
2. Target the Lamb's weapon component first. Kill that and you can engage the shuttle without any further danger.
3. If you've got the mass, shove a Mark I or II Proton Launcher into your ship. Every bit of firepower at this tier counts.
3. If all else fails, get some friends.

Also, just a general tip for Tier 2, upgrade your starfighter to the TIE /ln if you got trained in that box already. It's enough of a mass jump from the previous TIEs that you ought to be able to add some additional armor, bigger shield, or better engine/booster/weapon even if you don't have any new certs and are still using Level 1-3 weapons. Oh, and use droid programs. Even if it's just Weapon Overload 1 and Engine Overload 1, every little bit of extra speed and damage will help.

TIE Light has around 10k mass. TIE/In has around 30 if I remember right. I've been flying my Interceptor for too long, lol.

Well all Duty missions are for is a great chance to get XP solo. Just waves and waves of Ships coming at you at each waypoint. You can abort the Duty missions or pass them up all together. As for T3 quest you must do them in order to get any training though. T2 is the same cept the skills aren't free. T1 and T4 is get 1 blockand Capxpthen train up.
