I've searched for this info and haven't found anything. What I need to know is what my faction standings need to be at so I can become an Imperial Pilot. Right now I am -59 Imperial faction and +1000 Rebel faction. I am a Neutral player but when I go to speak with the Imperial Pilot trainer I receive the message "I don't deal with Rebels"
Do I just need to buy some Imperial faction to bring my standing to 0 or do I need to lower the amount of Rebel faction I have as well?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Just raise your Imp faction to zero. That should do it.

^^^ = right.
Get some low-mass parts NOW, before you start. If you don't want to go through the trouble, there's always RSF - the Dunelizard has all the attributes of the TIE Advanced except its' speed modifier is .95 instead of 1.00, essentially meaning an EO3ed REed pre-nerf reward engine would travel at roughly 1184kph instead of the 1246kph you'd get on a TIE Advanced).
However, the Dunelizard has 20k more MASS than a TIE Advanced, and Privateers get it at 1xxx, whereas Imperials don't get the 65k mass Advanced until 4xxx. In my opinion, NOT A BAD TRADEOFF...

Which means us Imperial Pilots are a lot handier atshooting your ship out from under you...because we have to deal with the low mass of our mid tier fighters. That particular disadvantage makes us strong. You shoulda gone Imp. Join the Empire, you getto meet interesting species and kill them...

I can't speak for other pilots, but even in pvp I'm rarely traveling at my top speed. In most of the dogfights I've been in, I find myself constantly varying my speed. So, unless you're racing, that 5% penalty on the Dunelizard will rarely come into play. Of course, I'm an RSF pilot so I'm about as biased as they come.
