Assuming you're 2222 or 2322, I would be VERY surprised if you somehow managed to max out your mass on L4-L7 components in a Y-Wing.

sounds like i am being funny but I am not!! lol
get the highest power parts you get find you got a good bit of mass to play with, good shields and a decent couple of weapons possibly one with a high shield damage and one more amour orientated, try and get a fast recharging shield same with the cap in fact in my opinion i would go for a lower storage to get a decent refresh rate with cap overload 3 you will be rocking quite nicely
oh and of course don’t forget a nice paint job does bugger all in the way of attacking but looks oh so good on screen

Your question is pretty open ended... simple answer... best engines, shields and guns you can slap on her, a good pre-fix Droid Interface, an adequatebooster (doesn't have to be spectacular with EO3)... then get Reactor Overload 3, Engine Overload 3, Weapon Overload 3, Capacitor Overload 3. You've got a lot of mass to play with and until you get x4xx you probably don't have to worry about mass that much.
