Thread: Tier 5 Duty mission probs

Hi,

I was doing a tier 5 duty mission that i got from a NPC in Kashyyyk space.

It started good. But after a couple of minutes, the ships i was facing started to become untouchable.

They moved extremely fast, and even if they were flying in a straigt line forward i just couldn't hit them.

That was really weird to see. It was like those ships were doing the 'dodge bullets' trick Neo did in The Matrix

The ships i was facing were Kihraxz Light Fighters. If it were JSFs, okay, but there's no way a Kihraxz can do what those ships just did.


Any comment on this ? Bugged ?

You can solo them, but it helps to have some hellacious equipment and a RGI with its bugged hitbox. Second to the RGI are the JSF and B-22.

You *can* get away with using a crafted MKV engine. But unless you've got some nice guns and an RE'd Reward Shield, don't bother trying it solo.

I'm not talking about the fact that they are soloable or not, i'm talking about the fact that they are bugged and sometimes unhittable.

If it wasn't for the bug tho, it would be easy to solo them (now it's easy too, but you gotta wait a couple of minutes when they started to become unhittable before you can hit them again)

Check your network connection stats. You may be having a lot of packet losses.

this is the chiss mission with the gunboats? i was running it last night and i noticed i seemed to be haveing a problem hitting some of the ships more than normal, had to fly right up behind the buggers to land a hit, probabley nothing more than coincidence since i run this mission all the time and dont usualy have this problem, i just assumed i was lagging, but guess mabey it was just the zone lagging or something if other folks were haveing the problem to.

This the the duty from the yt-1300 floating around the space station.

The Gunboats that it spawns are the ones than the RGI/Adv X wing/Vaksai mission has.

ahh ok, it was the other one i was running last night anyways then, the one from the deci that circles the rodian outpost.

Yeah i prefer that one myself. The Nova's are much easier to handle.

I have noticed a targeting change since the last publish or so.... I used to be able to hit the ships or near them, and cause damage; the targeting reticle was just some pretty decoration. Recently, I hit a ship, the shields glow, but no damage is registered. I move my aim ahead and get it on the targeting reticle, and damage starts accrueing, even if I am completely missing the ship! (i.e. No Shield glows). This especially happens on tight turning ships (Khiraxz), and when I pull in behind a ship, and the targeting reticle and the ship line up, I get shield glowage and damage. This would fit with the above poster who can hit from behind. SOE fix the targeting systems? Is this an unannounced fix? Or is something else going on here....
