Thread: Who do I have to kill?

Having spent a couple of useless hours on the ground shooting mountain squill for 1xp each, I decided to risk putting the components back in my ship and go into space.

On launch I attacked a wave of Scyk Tier 1's - got loot in the form of credits and a couple of looted components but no prestige points.

Deciding it might be due to them being only Tier 1 ships I jumped to Dathomir and attacked a Tier 4 Tie Aggressor - again, looted credits but no prestige points.

Is this the way it's supposed to be? I'm a master level pilot. Does this mean that to earn any prestige points I have to kill Tier 5 ships? Surely they didn't add the levelling system to space too?

Overall, I don't really need the XP/PP, but this is going to make piloting XP much harder to get. Anyone else getting anything similar or even xp as normal?

PS: Just found the mining station at Dathomir - that was a nice surprise :-)

You should be looking in the Combat Tab for Xp messages now. Space or ground, that's where they live, no longer sysmsgs.

Psikobunny - Thank you very much. I knew about the messages going to the combat tab on the ground, but I've never even set up a combat tab in my ship before - usually just have spatial and instant message. Sure enough, they were showing up there.

*blush*

Not being too impressed with the ground combat (though not been able to get a group together to hunt yet, so I'll decide later) space may end up being the only thing that keeps me in the game (plan is that if I really hate the new combat then I'll re-grind Artisan, take up shipwright and build/RE my own parts). I'm very relieved to see the XP is the same as it's always been - no point me taking a friend up in the Krayt if they get no XP for coming along.

Thanks again. :-)
