finaly made myself one, have not had the chance to fly it yet.
according to the stats here, it has teh same engine stats as the a-wing and jedi.
though it has one gun less then the jedi SF, with 95 mass, i think i can make a very nice PvP craft.
have any rebs done this andPvPed in it?

yea i made one, its going to become the pvp ship of choice for me, 95k mass, almost as fast and nimble as an awing and unlike the jedi/grevous/heavyX/arc is fully replaceable

One of our pilots on Starsider PvPed in one tonight. I have done only PvE in it and it is quite agile. The only problem with the Heavy Z is the same major problem the regular Z has. Accuracy. It's just not as accurate as the TIE or scyk. The closer you get to a ship the harder it is to hit with the thing because the lasers just shoot to either side. You have to learn, or in my case relearn, how to shoot with that wide spread. Personally I still feel these heavy varients are at least twice as heavy as they should be. Haven't taken my A-wing up at all since I got the heavy Z. I've been looking for a heavy TIE on Farstar or a heavy Scyk on Gorath but the bazaar terminals seem to be bugged on those servers. Starsider list them but the listing is not there on Gorath or Farstar. This could be because those ships are not being built on those servers but I don't know.

The A-Wing is not as maneuverable as the new heavy starter ships or the grieveous and jedi starfighter.

Where were you last night, Kitten?
I was the pilot who flew the heavy Z-95 last night. The major problem has already been stated-weapon placement. Secondary to the problem is the number of weapons, just one. I only had a level 7 mounted (I don't have any REed level 8s atm), and it must've taken me seven-eight shots to chew through a Firespray's shields. While that's not a huge problem with the Firespray's massive target size, against a smaller, more nimble craft (like the Jedi Interceptors), it would be less than effective.

Then again, my loadout probably needs some tweaking.

A shipwright makes it - it requires normal resources plus 1k of Petrochemical mined from an asteroid, and 1k of iron ore mined from an asteroid.

How do you get the heavy Z-95 starfighter? I'd like to know, ASAP, please.

Starter heavy versions are crafted, and take not only a lot of resources, but a couple of thousand asteroid resources... see your friendly shipwright.
