I can bet SOEs idea of soon is nothing like a regular persons idea of soon.

- Capital ships have been programmed and are more or less ready but SOE still needs to find a way of introducing them into the game without breaking everything else
(emphasis mine)
Best. Statement. Ever.
Ooooh, between MCH, MDE, and Pilot, I've become a very bitter player.

Yeah, but that being said at a fanfest (if it's quoted from one of the devs) really doesn't mean much. SOE has announced Capital ships, we are eager to see them, and if SOE thinks we are getting too eager for something, they will push it out no matter. The CU was quite a big proof of that....we we'ren't even eager for that and it got pushed out, without really ever thinking of "without breaking everything else".

Hmm, that's encouraging; ahead of the vague timeline they mentioned at FanFest, anyway. Though hearing they've pretty much got it all put together makes me kinda antsy to hear some of the details on how these things are gonna work.

Yoda forbid they manage to actually break something else.
Yes Young jedi, we gave you a captial ship but your force powers have been nerfed into nothingness. a Dancer can now kick your butt

I was figuring after they announced the new expansion for early Nov that this would be added into that release. A lot of people are simply turned off by the title of the product atm. Even if the game doesn't directly deal with player Jedi just the thought of a title of an expansion being that has annoyed a large chunk of the fan base. So I figure if they add capital ships in with thatit gives a bit mroe of a hook to bring more players into wanting to spend the extra money for it even if they hate the thought of Jedi in any form. Hopefully they will add the Skiff multi seater landspeeder in before or at least with the expansion also.

Ahhh, but in the latest book, Alema, a former dancer, kicked around leia, Luke, Mara jade, and a few other choice Jedi. Mind you, she IS a jedi as well.....

I figure it will be like every other idea they have.
Soon, will turn into "Add it to the Obi-wan thing"
As a non-jedi, I wont be buying this expansion.
Someone mentioned that it will not have a space zone.
I'm not a jedi and I like to fly in space when I'm not on the
Ground.....why would I buy this?
Worried about adding something without breaking everything
else? When did that stop them?

This is entirely likely. I can see them doing this to us. The pilot/shipwright community seems particularly resistant to the Jedi fever. I imagine this could be their way to try to strong arm us into buying an otherwise useless expansion.

Well that's how they got me to buy the usless wookie addon. As a MBH I could not hunt jedi on the wookie world without ROTWs. Its funny after 4 months they managed to fix the problems with wookie work(AFK grinding on the trails, ect) Now I rarely ever pickup a jedi on Kashyyk.
I rather have the core of the game fixed than useless add ons that dont do anything. I can careless about some stupid quest for some stupid rare item I will never use(The proton carbine is usless compared to my crafted HLR)
SWG was to be taking place during the higth of the civil war. After the Battle of Yavin IV. The only time it comes close to feeling like this enviroment is when some stupid planet police officer working for the other side wants to do an inspection of me. I whip out my FWG and liquidate the trouble maker with ease and that's it, no one else does anything. After the GCW "revamp" a few publish ago the troops of the city were supposed to call in for backup, this does not happen. Also if a jedi was in town as a combatant or overt the local forces were supposed tocall ina jedi of their own, this does not happen either.
GOOD WORK SOE. You only prove that you want our money and do not care about the star wars experience.

Our protest of Pub 22 fixed you good did it not?

Ok enough of my drunken ranting, I'm going to sleep
