Thread: [Live Event] Based round GCW and Capital Ships

IF and when the capital ships are brought out, JTL could finaly get some good and new lvie events.
heres a example which would give inmense RP and star wars feel in the game.
Cor has just become key to the empire in its struggle to rid the galaxie of the Rebel Insurgents, in a desperate attempt to regain control of the planet from the rebel scum Lord Vader has set his ship the Executioner to retake the planet and its star system, The alliance has gotten word of this incoming strike and has begun a counter offensive in the space above......
Live event sends out request for all Imperial and Rebel Pilots to join the fight, upon entering Cor system u automaticly recieve a box asking if u wish to become Overt, imbetween Cor and Talus Stations is the Executioner (super star destroyer), ISDs and corillian corvettes and Mon cal cruisers, Players would then be able to take there Cpatial ships up to fight along side enemy ships, whilst Fighter pilots who join the event would act as dog fighters or bombers and board enemy ships like bases to blow em. this would be Similar to the opening space battle in EP3, Vaders ship would be the key target, after so many hits or damaged components it would leave and rebs would iwn, but if the imperial fleet wipes out the rebels, then the system would be imperial and the planet would be under imperial rule.
A HUGE battle in space would be immense for GCW and bring back life to JTL
Live evetns like these would be great with Player capital ships and introduction of Command ships.

While that idea is sweet, do remember that the Executor is 12.8k in length, and the current space zones are only 16km x 16km x 16km, so that think would barely fit into the zone, let alone the space between the two stations.

Ugh! No way! Go into Deep Space, and get the ISD to start shooting at you. Enjoy the lag fest. I don't even want to imagine what would happen if something eight times as big decided to open up on people. We may as well just crash Corellian space and get it over with.
And I feel really bad for anyone starting Havok squadron at the time. Newbie Rebel pilot + SSD = squish.

Hey, I'm as Imperial as the next girl, but even I know that letting Tier 1 noobs get OMGPWNED! by a Super Star Destroyer is a bad idea for long-term enjoyment of space.

while a capital battle would be nice i don't think doing it over a newbie planet would be a good idea. Both Havok and Epsilion start in that sector a nice big capital ship blast would be bad on both sides.

Think the general thought there is instead of a SSD, put in a ton of vettes and gunboats, since they are smaller and actually have better then 1% accuracy.
Only problem with that is the fact that those drop way too easy.

Agreed, if I want vette's and gunboats I just go out to DS. Things drop faster than fighters these days I swear.

Guys ur missing what i said, u would have to option to go to get ionvolved and during the day noob missions could be suspended for the activity
