Thread: How about buying new titles with prestige?

I know I know. every month or so I post begging to beable to buy something with our Prestige. The chances of it happening are slim to none but I'll keep trying.
In the past I've asked if we could buy new helmets and flight suits, special Ace paint jobs, furniture, and so on. This time around I'm looking at rank and titles. For example....
Grand Admiral=100mil pilot prestige
Wing Commander=50mil
Squadron Leader=25mil
And of course fill in the blanks with other titles like Rear Admiral and so on.
These would just be rank tags and titles for sporting above our toons heads and wouldn't really do anything.But to me a Grand Admiral tag over my head would be much more prestigous (sp?)than a Jedi Knight/Master tag. What good is prestige if you can't show it off 
BTW: i'm sitting on about 44mil atm and I know there are people out there with far more than that. It would be pretty cool to see a few grand Admirals walking around

............I'm hoping you have to go through each rank in order too otherwise wed have ALOT of grand admirals all of a sudden.

Pssh, only the Empire, with their need for such grandure, has the title of Grand Admiral =P
I was hoping prestige would be used to buy Corvettes, and or such capital ships when you can get player controled ones, or better components, or even used to gain access to more space dungeons, like a mission to infiltrate enemey ship yards with a squadron of players, or something like that.

I just made ace a few days ago and I've already started wondering what could be done with the piles of prestige I'm getting. You've got some pretty cool ideas, Thradd. I'd love to see some of them implemented. And I agree, a title like this would be much cooler than Jedi Master or Master (Insert Profession Here).

oh its still funny, just have to work harder.
Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Emperor. And those are just the fringe benefits. We have a union too!

I kind of have a feeling SOE is going to use prestige or that kind of stuff. The only reason I haven't changed squadrons yet is because I know the day I do SOE will announce "TODAY ONLY!!! BUY YOUR OWN FULLY LOADED IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER FOR 50MIL PRESTIGE POINTS!!!!"
R9D14 I agree. We should have to do the rank just like regular faction rank and have to hold each one before we get to the next. And if there areALOT of people running around with over 100mil prestige then I am serriously slacking

perhaps another use for us rebs without any cool piliot skills would be "pets". you could call in a group of ships that will fly with you whenevr you need them and they stick with you till you die or they die(they would be teir 5 of course and you could pick wahtever kind of ships suit your needs) afterall imps have bomberstrike and nebula boom thingy and neutrals have epulse and pirate trap. it would just seem more star warsy i think
