Thread: Deep Space Question

Hey all.

Can someone give me the low down on deep space? On the ground, I'm a rebel and set to "On Leave". In space, I'm Free Lance with CorSec. I'm not worried about gaining faction points, I'd just like to take on some of the NPC ships there in search of loot. If I enter, will I be attackable by other players? (sorta think yes, which is fine). When I leave deep space and return to the ground, will I still be "On leave"?

(I'm concerned about the process because I'm a low level padawan and don't want to be declared when I land).

Thanks much in advance

not had any issues of status changing on land with that in space

altho i would say so far i have had better loot from kessal than i have had in deep space considering the amount of stuff in deep space to kill this may just be me but i seem to do better with the ones in kessal

Correct. Once you leave space, your ground faction is not taken into consideration. You will be the same on the ground as you left it.

Deep Space is a Ace only PvP zone, so you are attackable whether declared space overt or not. As a neutral, you need to choose a side to fight for, and should know (if you don't) that a known bug means that next time you take that shipto Kessel, you will be stuck fighting for the sameside, until you redeed the ship you took to Deep Space.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm excited to give it a try. I just made master this past week and am working down my list of things I want to do. The honeymoon hasn't worn off yet

Keep in mind that in space you suffer no Jedi XP loss unless you are tripple-incap-killed inside of a YT-1300, Decimator or Nova

I know it says you need 30000 Prestige points to get to deep space. Currently im 4-4-4-4- RSF, How do I check if i have any points, or when can i start earning them. My next mission is the corellian corvette in kessel. Maybe that gets me some? and If anyone wants to join me on that let me know in game (imp or freelance, corellian vett is part of a reb fleet)

After you train master, you'll automatically start earning prestige from kills instead of regular xp.

just to add to this a bit,

DS is a PVP zone, its NOT the same thing as being space overt "PvP enabled" from declaring in regular space. I.e. if you want to get FP in DS, u need to declare out of DS.

Ok, first off the search function is not currently working for me for whatever reason, and I did not find the information in the FAQ or on the first 7 pages so heres my question

How do I accumulate the 30000 prestige points needed to get into Deep Space. It says to do more work for the rebellion or something like that. I've talked to AdmiralWilham Burke and all I get is more medals, I went to my tier 4 trainer and he only offers me duty missions. I have killed several NPCimps in Kessel, took the duty mission to kill Black Suns. I went back to the station and it saysI still need 30000 prestige and to go do more work for the Rebellion. Do I need to be overt to gain prestige, can only get it from players or what.

Thanks

Prestige is what you get instead of Experience after you make Ace. Kill a ship, get a few thousand "prestige"... do this until you have 30,000 (6 ships maybe) and there you go.

Spend about half an hour a day in Kessel. You'll have a million or more prestige in no time.

How does this show up? My CTRL+S doesnt have anything listed as "Prestige" and I did kill stuff (about half dozen tier 5s in Kessel and about a dozen tier 4 Black Suns), but the space station said I still needed 30000. Does the station update how much you need or is the 30000 answer a pat response until you exceed 30000. I'm trying to determine if im bugged or not.

Thanks.
