Trying to figure out when I can use a heavy tie. Checked the guides and I don't even see them mentioned in there.

Can anyone help me out here?

Just to confirm it is indeed a tier 1 ship. It has made the tier three Black Epsilon missions a breeze so far for me.

What is the mass on this ship? Is is slow? How does it turn? High on the hit points?

Why the hell am I using a regular Tie......

94.5 - 95.5K mass depending on the resources used. Manuevers the same as your regular TIE.

Technically speaking, its a tier zero. Novice Pilot is all you need, not even 1xxx

You sure? I don't think I could use the Hvy TIE at novice on my current squadron, but I should be starting another squadron within the next few days so I'll double check that.

For the High Mass TIE you need 1xxx imperial pilot. For the High Mass Z95 and Scyk you can fly those at novice rebel and freelancer, respectively.

My Heavy Tie is 96.7K Mass and sporting a 30ton cannon!
4-5.5K dmg qith 0.7+ vs Shild/Armor.

More firepower then my JSF.

The Heavy Tie is an insanely good ship.

Super fast, super maneuverable, huge mass.

I managed to get from 1-1-0-0 Imperial pilot to 4-4-4-4 inside 4 days only needing a group on one mission. I never needed to look for low level components to keep the mass low nor did I ever need to choose between speed, damage capabilities and shields during my progress.

The only issue I have with the ship is that it makes all ships up to 4-x-x-x pointless. There's no good reason to use a Tie Interceptor over the Heavy Tie and only the Tie Advanced seems worthwhile, though why use a Tie Advanced when you can use a Jedi Star Fighter?

Its like having an A-wing for most of the grind, makes it very very easy.
