I wish i would whip my jedi/shipwright down the cellar and make a few of these because the interior looks sooooo cool shame it cant mine.
I love the interior of the ship and i love seeing people walk in front of me when i fly sadly its not perfect for the job it does right now im getting the asteroid pieces so i can make all the POB components and Y-8 only components to see if this makes a difference.
Anyways back to the point, i would love to see a combat POB ship with the size of this ship because i love the engine room below and all the potential for customising it. To be honest i would love to be able to make more ships across the board for each tier and each faction because for me space is the most exciting part of the game and more variety would be awesome.
My Y-8 works for mining (hint, someone has to be in the pilot seat for the turrets to work with mining lasers....)
But as far as a combat ship... the Y-8 works frighteningly well in DS if loaded out properly. Matter of fact I found it extremely usefl to have that forward firing gun (reward cert 10 railgun is what I have in there...). In some ways, it's more viable than the original POB's. Though the hard part is when you have to go fix components. Much running back and forth down that long hallway.
