Finally made 4333 and have a choice of alot of ships finally. Decided to try out a Tie agressor and really didnt like the slowness of the turns and such, fighting an a wing can get very annoying in this craft. Which ship is the best for going from 4333 to imperial ace. I am currently in the Inquisition Squadron. Thanks.

I went from 4/3/3/3 to Ace in an Advanced TIE. Handles very nicely.

The first time I hit ace, I used my Aggresor all the way through tier 4. Mainly for the additional mass. I only loaded gun #1 and left the rear turret empty to save mass.

Advanced is by far more manuevorable, I went with the aggresor for the additional armour and a heavier weapon. Really going to be personal preference but for me it was all about the Aggresor.

Although.... if I were working on Ace today... I'd go with the Heavy TIE Variant.

If you have RotW do the quest for the Jedi Starfighter, it has 90k mass and handles pretty good. I used a heavy tie with 96k mass until I was able to use the Jedi Starfighter. I'm almost 4433, I need about 200k more xp. /sigh

FYI... most incarnations of the Jedi Starfighter that I have seen have a glass jaw. In otherwords, they're fast, nimble, and have big guns.... great for PvP. On the otherhand, many people forget to load heavier shields/armour so 2-3 NPC Missle hits and you're floating home.

/agree

At 4333, I was able to solo the next two Tier 4 quests for Storm Squadron with the Jedi Starfighter easily. And this is coming from someone who couldn't solo ANY of the Tier 3 missions for SS. Got me from 4333 -> 4444 in almost no time, couldn't of done it w/o it (yes, I suck that bad as a pilot ).

So, as the Heavy TIE is nice, very nice (especially for pilots going up to 4333), there is no comparison to the Actis.

The Royal Guard Interceptor is nice, too. Especially if you are or know a shipwright. RE enough stuff, and it turns into quite the little powerhouse. Probably not as good as a JSF, since it is down one gun slot, but still a great ship.
