Yeah, they must do the quest too.

Lets not assume, can a nuteral pilot that has done the quest fly the blasted thing? has any one tried this?

I thought neutral pilots that did this quest got a completely different ship.

Freelance pilotscan notfly the Adv. X-wing its certified to only rebel pilots. TheVaksai fighter is thefreelance award. It seems there is a bug in the mission where if your rebel on the ground they send you to the Rebel space station.Likewise if you are imperial on the ground they send you to the Imperial space station which is what happened to me. However if you go to the Kash space station and ask for a challenge you should be able to get the mission for the Vaksai. I was offered both missions one from the Imperial station and one from theKash stationI finished the one from the Kash station and got my Vaksai and you should be able to also.

I am pretty sure it works the following way for the rewards you can get:

Faction on the Ground Faction in Space Reward

Rebel RebelHeavy X-Wing

Imperial Imperial Red Tie Interceptor

Neutral Freelancer Vaksai

RebelFreelancerHeavy X-Wing + Vaksai

ImperialFreelancer Red Tie Interceptor + Vaksai

I am Imperial on the ground and Freelancer in Space and I got both, the red interceptor and the vaksai. However I can only fly the Vaksai. The reason for this, is that the Rebel and Imperial stations look at your ground faction for all their checks since for a freelancer in order to declare imperial in space he/she would have to be imperial on the ground. The neutral stations however, look at your space Faction and that is the reason you can get both.

The best part is that if you do the quest for red tie interceptor for example, when you are done with that one all you have to do is talk to the kash station and it will immidiately give you the final mission for the Vaksai (The option looking for a challange) which is the Neutral corvette mission since you are already flagged for all the missions from doing the red interceptor.

they tell you to go to the rebel station if reb ground and neutral space but if you jsut talk to the kashyyk station and ask for a challenge they give you the quest for the vaksai!

so here is the deal:

they tell you to go to reb station...DON"T DO THAT

immediately launch and talk to kashyyk station and ask for a challenge

after you do tha kashyyk station and get your vaksai you can then go talk to reb station and do the reb ones
