In case anyone hasn't seen this yet... after you finish the CPG quests at the Kashyyyk space station, you can start taking tier 5 duty missions from several NPC ships in the sector. So far, I've found you can communicate with a CPG Ace Protector flying around the Kash space station, and also with a Decimator near Tripp's Rodian Hunter Outpost (you can supposedly also talk to an NPC near the other Rodian outpost, but I didn't see which one during my 10 second flyby). Both duty missions are like most Destroy Duties, but this time around the "boss" fights are against Tier 5 Rebel Gunboats (CPG quest) or Tier 5 Novas (Rodian quest). I got through the first three phases of the Rodian quest, and was taking on the three Novas when I was hit by our wonderful friend, the "braking bug"... stopped me dead in space just as I was boosting past the Novas .

These are rather hard, especially against the mid-size ships. They don't fly straight like in Deep Space or Kessel... they go after you with a vengeance.

Anyone else been trying these and had better success than I?

Yea I tried the one with gunships and could handle 2 gunships, but not 3 (forget about 5). I did the nova ones and failed on 4 but I also had some little quirk happen. There is also the Independent Slavers, which is alot easier but is escort missions, and I fell asleep after the second escort. I would love to know if there is any prize for finishing any of these especially the YT one with the possible 5 gunships at the end. Love to know if you get anything for doing that.

Fuss Bango (Chilastra)

I started missions at the other Rodian base. These ones are similar, but spawn Hutt fighters instead of Black Sun. Also, starting with the second phase, I get one Nova along with regular ships during normal spawns. Scary.

The slavers mission defintly seems the easiest to complete solo. See if I can do it today without falling asleep at the stick .

Well I did the Slavers mission through 6 escorts, and I refuse to try anymore, took forever to do 6 of them.

Has anyone completed one of the kill missions, with the gunboats or the pob ships?
