I just need to know how to disable a ship can any one help me?

When you have the ship targeted use the [ or ] keys to choose engine or reactor. the keys are next to the P key

When you get through the sheild and some of the armor you will start to hit that component.I usually go for the reactor if the ship can't out turn me. If it is a Tie or something with a killer turn rate take out the engines.

You need to use the bracket keys "[" or "]". Hope this make sense to you.

For Non US keyboard layouts.. Its the 2 keys between "p" and "Enter"
Notice the info in the top right corner, under the Ship name of your target. it should display what subcomponent you have targeted.
you can also edit your controls if you think the standart keys are placed in an Odd way. look for "Cycle component" under the "ship" tab.
