Hi, I was curious if anyone else has come across these same issues with the ETA-2 that Ive been haveing today.

I made ace and decided I would add this ship to my collection went out did the quest then today I went around and got the parts necessary to outfit the ship.

I hop out into space and notice the ships dmged /bogglehadn't done anything for that to happen yet. So I repair then start working through my commands on my astromech nothing new here right. Well it says my droid link is down, so now I'm pretty confused as on this ship I have roughly 50 times the power free that I have ever had because I went out and realy work hard to find some good components to fit into the 90k mass limit. I have roughly 4k energy free out of 15k on the reactor. I'n my experiences in my other ships Ive been able to get 4 tier 4 commands running with ships haveing no more then 150 spare energy this thing has 4k free mind you. Whats been happening is when I load into space I normaly open with Reactor OL 4, then cycle through engine capacitor and weapon OL 4's and I'm on my way. Well with this ship each time I launch something diffrent happens each time. One time it wont let me load a single command the next it will let me load 1 maybe 2, if I Jump to another area it sometimes disables the thing all together except the engines which it cuts down by half say normal cruise speed is 910 before Engine OL 4 I'm now flying at 540 after the Jump. I tried redeeding the ship now twice, beyond that I have no clue wth is wrong with this ship I have no other trouble with my 5 others. Thanks in advance if any of you other pilots have a idea on what the deal is.

you're using all overload fours and not Deep space repairing?

If this is the case...then your ship is going to decay and wither very very fast.

If you're not master yet use overload 3's only.

I'm not realy sure what you said is relevant but I appreciate the try heh, I mentioned in my post that I am already an "ACE" pilot and have 5 other ships that I am highly familiar with. I also mentioned this problem started from the very first time the ship hit space ie never seen combat never had a chance to see any wear and tear.

hmm in that case, I'm not sure mate.

First use Weapon Overlaod 3 and not 4.
Second: EO4 makes your engine use 10 times of normal energy. Yes, 10 times. If your engine says 2000 energy usage, you need 20,000 just for the engine after EO4.
Thats most likely the reason it shuts down your ship.

RO4 produces 90% more energy, your 15k reactor is producing about 28.5k then I would say.

Now you can do the maths for your components yourself and see if you have enough energy.
"I have 4k free and it worked with 150 before", sorry is not enough, if you use a different engine now.

Same engine and I appreciate that info but the problem has happend in many forms as the post says even prior to loading a single OL I can port the ship up to space and everything but the engine be disabled which is impossible with 4k spare power. I agree once loading up OL's if you go beyond the power then it would shut systems down. I'n this case that situation isn't the problem as I have with other ships encountered that exact same scineriao which is usualy remedided by loading OL's in a certain order or loading a lower OL 3 as you suggest. I think theres some kind of bug a guild mate said they had the same issue but I still cant track down whats causing it, think next I'm going to go component by component to see if one of them in particular is bugged. I also removed everything and deeded the ship another time and only fora few seconds once back in space do things appear to be fine but soon as I try to ramp up the reactor or jump to a new area it immediately happens again aswell as the ship being dmged which I have never scene happen on my others.

I have never heard of anything like this before. Seeing as the damage appears without combat (and right after first launch) and the weird power problems... I am completely boggled. Only thing I could think of to suggest is that your ship is bugged, and to contact a CSR in the hopes they would trade in the deed for a new one.

This is a bug that resulted from running the Overloads.

First, the explanation. When you ran the Overloads, your Reactor couldn't take it. Please don't say that it could, because your ship proves that it could not. If you think I'm wrong, go find some specific info about what EO4 (already given) and WO4 do compared to what RO4 does, and you should see that the 4k was not nearly enough. When the Overloads were run and shut your ship down, something happened that tagged the Chassis/Engine combination as having EO4 running, even after you landed.

What has to happen is that the Chassis/Engine combo has to realize that EO4 is not running. You can unload the ship, deed it, generate it, and outfit again which should solve the problem. Otherwise, you can launch the ship and run a Pilot Special Ability which resets any EO program running (EThrust, maybe EShields, etc). If you do not have one of those available to you, go back to the "deed" option.

Once you have things back to normal, be more careful about running EO4 and WO4 at the same time. While there are low Drain Engine/low Drain Weapons/high Gen Rate Reactor combos that *can* handle RO4/EO4/WO4, it is uncommon and testing to see if yours can handle it should be done carefully. If you do test the Overloads again, be prepared to run an EThrust/etc or to re-deed the ship.

What's the armor/hp of your reactor? If running Overload 4 brings it below 50% of its current HP the amount of juice it generates will be severely reduced.

Actually I've found WO4 and EO4 HIGHLY overrated and wasteful of energy regardless of pilot level or ship type.

Your problem is definitely caused by the overloads. I had the same problem once with my ship shortly after JTL came out.

Stick to WO3 and EO3 I'd say... get a pair of good RE weapons in the thing firing in tandem and you'll be a meat grinder.

Ya, I tried redeeding the ship 4 times last night 2 of the times this happened I hadn't used a single OL. Finaly I logged for about 3 hours in frustration came back loaded in reactor OL4, jumped loaded up engine OL 3, capacitor OL3 since its supposed to be bugged and better then OL 4 /shrug, and did weapon OL 3 and all was fine I'm inclined to think something in sony's network doesn't update very often as it took a prolonged amnt of time from the game for the system to reset. Note I had tried that exact last setup atleast 2 of the 4 times I redeeded only till I had logged off for a few hours did it seem to remeedy itself.

Krendor, not really sure you read Sheena's reply but it was pretty much laid out there.

If you use EO4, then you probably needed more then 4k extra reactor juice to run WO4, CO4 as well and your ship became bugged out when you did.

Running the lvl 3 overloads likely overwrote the bugs and now everything should be set right. Probably best before you try to use EO4, or any of the lvl 4 overloads, that you do the math on your reactor/engine drain to avoid this happening again.
