Thread: Need serious help/tips on Tier 3 CorSec Steal Weapons From Civilian Ship mission

Its not the first two parts that I have issue with, its the last part. I get the crate just fine, beat the waves of baddies after that, dock with the ship and get the "decoy" thing, then I have to go to this WP and drop of that (I guess). Well I never make it. I just spent 25-30 mins fighting wave after wave of bad guys. I mean they jump in 3 at a time, I take them out, then 3 more, take a few...oh wait 3 more oh look that guy has unlimited rockets....great. Its never ending. I go from having 6-7 targets down to 1 back up to 6 down to 1. Lame as heck, almost like they put this in so peopel would WANT to quit SWG.

I hung in there good, I have good weapons and good armor and shields. I use my FC alot to shunt power from my cap to my sheilds when they get a bit down. When the baddies get nasty I resort to just flying like I am drunk so they cant hit me (till my shields re power up).

What is the trick to this mission, if I had not EJECTED in sheer anger the last time I would probalby still be in there getting nailed by cheating NPC ships.

Dont think it ever ends. But you can still dock with the ship.

When the enemy is down to one, just dock with the ship and transfer the goods. If he dont hit you to often, he wont dislodge you.

To make it a little easier, disable the spawns and do not destroy them. This should give you time to dock because nothing will spawn until they blow up. Disable is your friend.

Ok I was thinking of that. I was thinking about the mission at work today, and I was like "Seems like he more I blow them up, the more they keep coming....wait.....dont blow them up then." Have not tried that yet (had a migraine today, slept all after noon after work )

Excedrin is your friend.

Did not help, even after I get the docking done (I just ignored the first 3 ships and went for the WP) they just give you another mission...yep....you guessed it. Its called "Beat the never ending swarms of bad guys that never run out of anything and in the end your best bet is to type /quit and never play again" mission. What a joke. Would not matter if I had 10 people helping, they probably have some code that says

if player_ships = X then bad_guys = 3 * X

I tried twice....first time I got to the last wave and got killed. 2nd time I did not even make it to the part where you drop off the weapons. Had waaaay to much troble with those waves. Seems like they make it so that if you cant take out each wave before the next one comes in you may as well just type /quit (or /cancleaccount). The worst part about it is my ship is MAXED. Hitting issues where I cant add better stuff due to weight. right now I have over 400k Freelance Points but I cant spend them (devs decided it would be really cool and stoke inducing if they made some of the skills mission based....guess thats one way to make people quit...eh)

I mean its a no win issue. If you pick the Tier 3 skill where you can get a better ship you still have crappy weapons. If you pick the Advanced Equipment skill then you cant use half the stuff any way due to weight. Whats the point?

Boost to the delivery spot, the hit IFF Scramble while you dock.

And, just to play this card, are you running droid programs? At a minimum you should be running Engine Overload, Weapon Overload, Reactor Overload, Capacitor Overcharge, and Capacitor to Shield Shunt. That last one is the most important in fights like this, since it instantly transfers power from your capacitor to your shields, essentially giving you longer life in a dogfight. Never leave home without it.

Plenty of guides on using droid programs on these forums.

No I run the droid apps. The only way I make it to dock at the end there is with the Cap To Sheild Shunt. I also use reactor boost level 2 and cap boost level 2. Dont have IFF yet. Thats what I absolutly hate about Tier 3. You can have 6.5 quazillion XP points and not be able to upgrade your skills! And it makes no difference with kill you pick. If you pick a bigger ship, you still have crappy weapons...if you pick Advanced Equip Skills, then you cant use the good weapons anyway due to your ship being over weight. Waste the choice on DROID or the TRICK and your still stuff with weak wepons.

Only thing that saved me was a nice blaster I looted. That helped some.

There are 2 things that really need to be changed:

1. Let us spend some freking points so we dont have to spend the next month trying to get throuh the missions on Tier 3.

2. Make it so that once you do something you dont have to do it over. Cant tell you how much I hate it when I botch the last part and have to start all over....espically when the last part has NOTTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the core mission. After you drop off the stuff and the other ship leaves, if you get killed by the uber cheating bad guys you should not have to go back to square 1 and start over.

I think I will be quitting JTL for awhile, this mission is so borked its not even funny. Han Solo could not get it done. I mean, I dock by ignoreing the first 3 bad guys totally. After I un dock then at least 6 to 9 ships jump in in the span of about 1 min. I mean I give up.....its pointless to the point of being funny. If this mission is this tough I cant WAIT till Tier 4 (pfft....as if I will SEE Tier 4 in my lifetime)
