Well, I'm 1/1/1/1 privateer pilot, and very new to the profession (just got the expansion yesterday, but have been playing SWG since near-release). Having purchased a Dunelizard, I very happily began to manage the different components of the ship, thinking how great it would be to finally put all the loot that was too big for the starter ship to use.

Enter {player_utility]cannot_manipulate.

Can someone tell me what this means? Obviously, it's a message telling me I can't put a particular component in the ship, but is it a bug, or is the part just not compatible?

Example: I have a Mark 2 Starfighter Engine. Despite having enough mass clearance and the proper cert, it gives me that message. It does that to all but 2 of my engines (7 total). Same with weapons (almost didn't have enough to fill the two slots), and everything else.

Thought that might be it. The only trouble is, I've gotten this message with the Dunelizard, too. Also, I was able to change a few things in the starter ship, but not many. Thanks for the help though

What it really means is that the component producing the error is stored somewhere other than your main inventory or backpack, but where the ship management screen can still see it. For example, if you have the veteran reward yacht any items stored in it will produce this error.

I was wondering why this problem went away afterI destroyed my yacht. It was bugging me for close to a year now.
